Eastern Medicine meets meaningful research

Our Premium Integrative Health treatment plan is a state-of-the-art approach to whole body health. Functional Medicine is a lab-work-based approach to holistic medical care, focused on treating the root causes of disease with lab data. It includes more in-depth treatment, dedicated laboratory assessment, and advocacy with your other providers.

If you are looking for a more complex and broad view of your medical condition, or you want to achieve optimal health, the thorough approach of Functional Medicine + Eastern Medicine might be for you.

We integrate a blend of Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostics with functional lab testing. Functional Medicine can be extremely effective for a wide variety of conditions and concerns including: auto-immune conditions, mental health and stress-related disorders, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, and toxicity – just to name a few.

The philosophy of Functional Medicine works a little like this: while traditional Western medicine attempts to make sure that a patient is within the spectrum of “Normal” – which is great and effective – a lot of times, Normal still means unwell. You might be experiencing fatigue, pain, chronic inflammation, or other symptoms.

The holistic- and systems-minded Functional Medicine framework uses bloodwork, lab data, and a certified TCM practitioner working closely with your primary care physicians, to assess your unique situation, get you back into what’s called the “Functional” or “Optimal” range, so you can enjoy a high quality of life, rather than just Normal, or good enough.

Functional Medicine's philosophy is often visualized in the form of a tree: roots of the tree are the causes (like stress, diet, trauma, poor sleep, etc.), and the branches are the disease and health issues.

Functional Medicine is a special modality that requires extensive lab testing and follow-ups. At this time it is not covered by insurance carriers, so patients must pay out of pocket for the Functional Medicine portion of their treatments (which includes at least 5 visits, plus labwork).
